Project Broadcast: the latest drop from Treason, featuring a new t-shirt and beanie just in time for the holidays. We rocked a quick photo-`Grid Tee, designed by Eric Gorvin and Dustin Cox, brings the 3M reflective ink back to our gear. Long time supporters might recall our Broadcast Hoodie with the giant reflective ink Broadcast tower from last year. We like the reflective ink not only because of the dope aesthetic, but also for the meaning that can be paired with our designs. Shine bright when the light hits you. Whatever that means for you, just do it with all of you.

The tower symbolizes the message being broadcast. Whether it be radio, TV, or even you and me different signals transmit between these towers bringing us all sorts of messages. In the spirit of inspiring intelligent dissent, stay aware when engaging broadcasts of all types. Be wary the agenda behind what they choose to give you in the news. There’s been a lot of fucked up shit in the news lately. The world can’t be all-bad, but the way it seems there’s much darkness to bring light from these days. That being said, special shout out to those marching for Mike Brown (RIP), Eric Garner (RIP), and the other lives taken by the hands of police brutality. Be mindful of agitators and suspicious protesters encouraging criminal activity at events.  In Oakland, demonstrators discovered uncover police who were trying to incite violence and unlawful behavior2>

It is unlikely any immediate justice will come from these demonstrations, but that is not to discount the heart behind them.  It is important we bring the issues of police brutality and the oppressive culture enabling and encouraging it to the forefront of our societal discourse.  It is just as important to remain aware of the forces behind this culture of oppression and how they will try to undermine positive action with acts like we saw in Oakland, as well as how they frame the events in the news.  When demonstrating, remember to exercise your rights peacefully and that day won’t be your last battle in the struggle.  We’ve got a long way to go, raising awareness is only the beginning.
